WiFly Share - Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
WiFly Share lets you share files between devices over your local WiFi network. This policy explains what happens with your data when you use the app and the share links it creates.
Your files stay on your network
Files are sent directly between your devices over the local network. They never pass through our servers or any cloud service, and the app does not monitor, record or upload your files, file names or transfer activity.
No personal data, no tracking
The app does not collect, store or share personal information. It uses no analytics, tracking libraries or behavioral profiling. You don't need an account.
Settings and saved connections (such as the address and password of a folder you connected to) are stored only on your device, in encrypted app storage, and are deleted when you uninstall the app.
Finding shares nearby
While you share a folder, the app announces it on your local network (mDNS) with your device's name, so other devices on the same WiFi can find it. Sharing a few files does not announce anything. Nothing is announced outside your local network.
Share links
Share links look like https://share.yogosaurus.app/s#.... Everything after the # -
the sharing device's local address, name and access code - is handled only by the device that opens the link
and is never sent to our website. If the app is installed, the link opens it directly. If not, a page on
share.yogosaurus.app helps you open the share in your browser or get the app; this page loads no third-party
content.
Our website is hosted by Cloudflare, which may process technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, as described in Cloudflare's privacy policy. We don't use these logs to identify you.
Advertising
The app may show banner ads from Google AdMob. To show and measure ads, Google may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID), IP address and general device information. See how Google uses information from apps that use its services. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your Android settings.
Permissions
The app asks only for what it needs to work: access to the files and folders you choose to share, the camera to scan QR codes (images are processed on the device and not stored), notifications to keep sharing running in the background, and network access to transfer files.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect any data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
